Standing in History: Visiting the Grand Egyptian Museum

This is the colossal statue of Ramses II or Ramses the Great in Memphis - a statue that was so enormous and also, quite fragile since its base and legs were already broken off by the time it was found, that instead of trying to move it, they rather built the museum around it.
