Over Memorial Day Weekend in 1994, the doors to Chumash Casino first opened. Many Santa Ynez Chumash community members worked side by side with a handful of staff to welcome and serve guests, with perhaps only an inkling of the incredible legacy they were helping to shape for our tribe. Today, the Chumash Casino Resort employs more than 2,000 people, hosts 3.5 million visitors annually, and after a rewarding 30-year journey, is a benchmark for top-tier casino gaming on the West Coast.
