⚾️On September 30, 1995 Albert Belle becomes the first player in major league history to hit 50 home runs and 50 doubles in the same season. The accomplishment is even more amazing considering the deed was done in just 143 games due to a strike-shortened season. The last player before Belle to reach as many as 40 in both categories had been Willie Stargell in 1973.
