A little-known fact about the banded sea krait is its practice of 'philopatry,' meaning it consistently returns to the same beach for resting, digesting, and laying eggs, similar to sea turtles. A study in Fiji relocated a group of sea kraits to islands approximately 5 km away from their original habitat.
