Aksi dugaan begal terjadi di Jalan Ibrahim Adjie, ruas Jalan Binong, Kecamatan Kiaracondong, Kota Bandung, saat rombongan Wali Kota Bandung melintas di kawasan tersebut. Berdasarkan keterangan saksi, para terduga pelaku diduga menggunakan senjata tajam jenis celurit untuk mengancam korban dan berusaha merampas sepeda motor.
