‘Several’ sharks force authorities to close Cape Cod beach
A popular beach was temporarily closed on Cape Cod Thursday, after authorities said “several white sharks” were spotted close to shore and beachgoers. More than 150 great white sharks have been spotted off the coast of Cape Cod since June, according to scientists -- and over 20 have appeared off the Cape in just the past week.
