New York Yankees star Aaron Judge was held out of Saturday's lineup and will be placed on the injured list ahead of Sunday's series finale against the Philadelphia Phillies after suffering a flexor strain in his right elbow.

"With the Yankees needing a player to take Judge’s roster spot for Sunday, it has to be a player who is healthy and ready to play," Curry wrote on X. "With Jones fighting back spasms and not playing at AAA on Friday, I’m guessing it’s unlikely he will get the call. Stay tuned."

Spencer Jones has dominated since his June 27 promotion, hitting .400 with 13 home runs, including a three-homer game, in 19 Triple-A games.
