August 2, City Councilman Oronde Mitchell and Attorney Sage Grubbs is teaming up to host an information meeting for tenants.

An investigation is underway after a contract security guard working at an Alabama prison was arrested on suspicion of promoting prison contraband, according to the Alabama Department of Corrections.

Officers said the man appeared to have been dead for many days and Valerie Bonner failed to report the death. Police said Bonner left the man dead in her apartment bedroom for nearly two weeks.
