University of Oregon women's golf star Kiara Romero brought her successful week to a close on Sunday afternoon at the LPGA's Portland Classic with a top-10 finish.
The was there a $300,000 first-place prize out of the $2 million total purse at the LPGA's 2025 Standard Portland Classic this week. Akie Iwai won the tournament by four shots over Gurleen Kaur and by five over her twin sister, Chisato.
On her way to a 5-under 67 on Moving Day in Oregon, the Republic of Korea native aced the 177-yard par-3 16th hole at Columbia Edgewater Country Club with her 5-iron, and by doing so, won $50,000 toward a Toyota vehicle.
