Indonesia is sending out Navy ships and helicopters as it expands a search for survivors of a ferry sinking on Jul 2. Dozens are still missing after the vessel sank shortly after leaving an East Java port on its way to the resort island of Bali.

Indonesian rescuers were searching for 29 people who remained missing Thursday after a ferry sank and six people died the previous night near Indonesia's resort island of Bali.

Indonesian rescuers on Thursday temporarily halted a search for 30 people still missing after a ferry carrying 65 people sank near the island of Bali with the loss of six lives, the national search and rescue agency said.
