Game Freak's Upcoming Action RPG Looks Awesome, But Don't Expect It On Switch 2 Yet
Yesterday, the Pokémon dev popped up at the Xbox Games Showcase to reveal Beast of Reincarnation, the action RPG previously revealed back in 2023 under the codename 'Project Bloom'. It looks awesome, it's arriving at some point in 2026, and Switch / Switch 2... don't appear to be invited to the party right now.

Longtime Pokémon game franchise developer Game Freak has unveiled Beast of Reincarnation, an all-new game IP set in post-apocalyptic Japan. This action-adventure game notably adopts a more realistic art style compared to the mainline Pokemon games, and follows Emma the Sealer as she attempts to save her world from corruption.
