It's officially summer, and with that comes the first full moon of the season. July's full moon -- known as the Buck Moon or the Thunder Moon -- will light up the night sky on July 10 and be at its fullest going into July 11.
A supermoon put on a super display for the East Midlands overnight. Thursday night saw a Buck Moon rise - and photographers across the region were out to see it. The Buck Moon gets its name because traditionally July is the time when a buck - or male deer - grows its full antlers.
The full moon will come "with a celestial bonus—setting in the early morning sky near a dazzling alignment of Saturn, Venus, and Jupiter."
