British Airways and Singapore Airlines have suspended flights to Dubai in the wake of US airstrikes on Iran in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Major global airlines extended flight cancellations to the Persian Gulf, disrupting air traffic to critical hubs such as Dubai after the US struck nuclear sites in Iran and Tehran vowed to retaliate.

All British Airways flights to Dubai and Doha, from Heathrow, were axed on Sunday following the overnight US strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities, the airline said.
