Two people were chased inside Chick-fil-A on Boylston Street around 5:27 p.m. by a man armed with a knife, officials said.

The incident occurred around 5:27 p.m. when two individuals ran into the crowded Back Bay restaurant, attempting to escape a man wielding a knife.

An off-duty Boston police officer shot and killed a man who was allegedly trying to stab people inside Chick-fil-A with a knife, according to police.
