A major winter storm is pummeling the Tri-State Area with snow and ice after New York and New Jersey declared states of emergency.

TRENTON, N.J. (WPVI) -- New Jersey has declared a State of Emergency ahead of a winter storm expected to hit the region Friday evening. The declaration went into effect at 1 p.m. for all 21 counties.

The robber, or robbers, made off with $8,000 in cash from a safe at St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church in South Brunswick on Sunday — and are now being hunted by cops, according to CBS. The money has been meant for people in need this holiday, the house of worship said.
