It looks like Footprint Center’s current moniker is getting the boot after just four years. That’s because the 17,071-seat arena in downtown Phoenix is reportedly undergoing another name change. Work crews were seen removing Footprint Center signage from the venue — the longtime home of the Phoenix Suns and Mercury — on Sunday and Monday.

As we reported earlier this week, Footprint Center is getting a brand-new name. Player 15 Group (who own both the Phoenix Suns and Mercury) are set to reveal the new naming rights deal some time next year.

The Suns confirmed that they are seeking a new arena naming partner. In the meantime, Footprint Center will temporarily be called PHX Arena.
