The Hockey Hall of Fame announced its Class of 2025, which includes first-year eligible players Zdeno Chara, a former captain of the Boston Bruins, Joe Thornton, Duncan Keith, and the end of a lengthy wait for former NHL star forward Alexander Mogilny.

Former Boston Bruins defenseman Zdeno Chara and legendary San Jose Sharks forward Joe Thornton were among the NHL players that were elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame on Tuesday. Duncan Keith and Alexander Mogilny were also elected as part of the 2025 class.

Nearly 30 years after he was drafted, nearly 30 years after few believed that the extremely tall third-round pick would amount to much, Chara has cemented his legacy. He was a player who made himself what he became, who used his strength and his will and his work ethic to fashion a career that will go down among the all-time greats.
