The head of the Texas Education Agency is visiting Dallas Friday morning as 2024-2025 A-F ratings for Texas schools were released.

Fewer schools received a D or an F in the 2024-25 school year than the year prior. But for campuses that are underperforming, two or more years of low grades in a row means more pressure to improve — or risk more state oversight.

School districts may make a data submission error “on very rare occasions," but there are processes to allow school districts to correct the data, TEA Commissioner Mike Morath said.
