BOSTON — Carlos Narváez hit a walk-off RBI single off the wall in the 10th inning after Aaron Judge hit a tying solo home run in the ninth and the Boston Red Sox rallied to beat the New York Yankees 2-1 on Friday night. Ceddanne Rafaela added an RBI.

The rivalry has turned into somewhat of a snoozer the past two seasons as the Yankees have made more significant — and more effective — moves.

If this weekend's 3-game set against the Yankees isn't a make-or-break series for the Red Sox, it's pretty darn close.
