An alligator attacked a woman kayaking at a central Florida nature preserve, sending her to a hospital, authorities said. The attack happened when the woman was paddling at Tiger Creek Preserve in Polk County on March 3,

WFLA reported the gator bit the woman on the elbow at the Tiger Creek Preserve, according to Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officials. The woman was hospitalized for her injuries. Officials said a trapper was dispatched to remove the alligator from the area.
