Nottingham Forest have defied the doubters throughout this season but are enduring an untimely wobble at the worst possible moment.

Forest, as they did against City at Wembley, looked fatigued and were unable to impose themselves on the game. Brentford fully deserved to lead through Kevin Schade at half-time with Forest unable to mount a meaningful effort on goal.
