The New York Yankees agreed to a minor league deal with left-hander Tyler Matzek, MassLive and the New York Post reported Monday.

On Jan. 23, left-handed reliever Tyler Matzek held a throwing session for interested teams. Then a free agent, Matzek and his agency thought it would be a good idea to let organizations know he is healthy after a few rough years with injuries.
