An explosion at a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department training facility on Friday killed three deputies, the sheriff said.

The deputies, with 19, 22, and 33 years of service, were described as highly trained experts. No one else was injured.

Multiple deputies are dead after an explosion at an LASD facility on Friday morning around 7:30 a.m. local time. The Federal Bureau of Investigation's Los Angeles office is investigating.
