After Saturday’s 4-0 loss to the Athletics, the Royals held a players-only meeting in hopes of jump-starting a team in an early June swoon. But on Sunday, the Royals lost to the A’s 3-2 to finish their six-game homestand 0-6.
On paper, Saturday’s game should have been a get-right moment for the offense, or at least a day to show some signs of life. Jacob Lopez took the mound for the A’s with an 0-4 record and 6.00 ERA.
