India reached the final of the Champions Trophy with a tense four-wicket victory over Australia in the first semi-final on Tuesday after Virat Kohli starred in yet another successful chase. The outcome means Dubai will host Sunday's final in which India will meet the winner of the other semi-final between South Africa and New Zealand in Lahore on Wednesday.

Australia has won the toss and opted to bat against India in the first semifinal of the 2025 Champions Trophy.

As India chased a target of 265 runs, Virat Kohli scored a fantastic 84 runs off 98 balls, which was his 24th 50-plus score in the ICC ODI events, the maximum by any batsman in the history of the ODI World Cup and the ICC Champions Trophy. Legendary Sachin Tendulkar had 23 50-plus scores in 58 innings.
