Wisconsin is experiencing a winter thaw with temperatures in the 40s and 50s, but experts say enjoy it while it lasts.

Rain and snow are on the way Tuesday night.

In its final spring prediction before ceasing publication, the Farmers' Almanac forecasts colder-than-normal temperatures in Wisconsin.

Sunday: Light wind with clearing skies early. Cooler lakeside this afternoon. Upper 40s lakeside, lower 50s inland. Monday: Even warmer! Southwest winds gust as high as 20mph, helping temperatures everywhere in SE Wisconsin climb into the middle and upper 50s.

While we will be cooler Tuesday, we’re still running well above normal through Thursday, which is impressive for mid-February in Wisconsin.

Tornado Alley has been expanding eastward as climate data shows the increased activity in tornadoes, damaging winds, and hail events.

A warm spring may be on its way to Wisconsin, according to the Old Farmer's Almanac.
