A Wall Street Journal report late Thursday added new scrutiny to President Donald Trump’s relationship with the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
If Donald Trump's defamation suit doesn't settle, the discovery process could raise more questions about his ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
For years, conspiracy theories have abounded that the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein kept records of his "clients," men who supposedly had sex with minors Epstein procured through his sex trafficking ring — and that U.S. President Donald Trump was one of them.
The photo, taken on Jan. 1, 1997, authentically depicts Trump and Epstein at Mar-a-Lago, Trump's Florida residence. It was not created with artificial intelligence (AI) software nor digitally altered. The photo is publicly available on Getty Images, published by Davidoff Studios Photography. It's captioned:
For nearly 15 years, the two men socialized together in Manhattan and Palm Beach, Fla., before a falling out that preceded Mr. Epstein’s first arrest.
President Trump is vowing to sue the Wall Street Journal and owner Rupert Murdoch over the outlet’s bombshell story detailing a 2003 birthday letter to Jeffrey Epstein bearing Trump’s name and a drawing of a naked woman.
Trump has tried to damp down speculation, fanned mainly by Democrats, that the withheld files contain evidence of a deep connection between Trump and Epstein. Trump has reacted with outrage and disdain, even at members of his political base who have pressed for the files to be released.
Here is a timeline of Epstein and Trump’s relationship. Though it is not known when Epstein and Trump first met, Trump told New York magazine in 2002 that he had known Epstein for 15 years, which would date back to the late 1980s. “Terrific guy,” Trump said in the 2002 interview.
