The New York Stock Exchange and the Nasdaq Stock Market will be open on New Year’s Eve and keep normal hours, with the regular session starting at 9:30 a.m. and ending at 4 p.m. Eastern. Over-the-counter markets will be open, too. Markets for U.S. bonds, however, will close early at 2 p.m. Eastern.
Nasdaq will be open for normal trading hours on New Year's Eve. The U.S. bond market will close at 2 p.m. ET Wednesday, according to the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association and will remain closed through New Year's Day.
