The Seattle Seahawks are hiring former New Orleans Saints offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak to fill the same role on Seattle coach Mike Macdonald’s staff, the Seahawks announced Sunday.

In Seattle, Kubiak will join a team that has a talented offense with quarterback Geno Smith and an electric supporting cast that includes receivers Jaxon Smith-Njigba, D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. But coach Mike Macdonald was reportedly seeking a playcaller who could boost Seattle’s rushing attack, which finished just 28th in yards per game.
