The U.S. has launched another round of retaliatory strikes against the Islamic State in Syria following last month’s ambush that killed two U.S. soldiers and one American civilian interpreter in the country.

The strikes were part of Operation Hawkeye Strike, which launched in December in response to a deadly ISIS attack on U.S. and Syrian forces in December.

The US carried out large-scale strikes against ISIS targets in Syria on Saturday that the US tied to an ongoing operation dubbed “Operation Hawkeye Strike.”
