Twin Cities suburb shutters fire department over unauthorized spending and untrained EMTs

The northern Twin Cities suburb of Lexington has shut down the city’s Fire Department and fired its chief over concerns about unapproved spending, shoddy record keeping and a lack of training for firefighters.
