The Dallas Cowboys could be without a starting offensive lineman once again when they face the Detroit Lions on Thursday Night Football to kick off Week 14.
Detroit Lions kicker Jake Bates said he didn't know he was setting his career high until he was on the field for the kick against the New York Giants.
As far as Pro Football Focus grades go, this was a middle-of-the-road game from the Lions as a team. The 73.1 overall grade was the highest Detroit has earned in its five losses this season. Dragging down the defensive score was the pass rush, which posted a season-low grade of 57.0.
Detroit faces its first repeat opponent of the year, the Packers. Last time out, the Packers were able to stifle the Lions in the red zone on their opportunities. The Lions were out of sync, and consistent targeting of Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jahmyr Gibbs were easily snuffed out.
The Lions lost 31-24 to the Green Bay Packers on Thursday, Nov. 27 at Ford Field in Detroit, further complicating their path to the NFC playoffs. Detroit also suffered a key injury that may have significantly hampered their offense, with star wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown ruled out for the Lions after getting rolled up on in the first quarter.
