More wet weather is forecast for Sunday with the heaviest rain falling in the morning and significant snowfall in the Sierra as snow levels drop to 5,000 feet.
People were warned of impossible travel conditions amid the winter storm, with floods and strong winds also likely.
On Monday at 12:17 a.m. the NWS Medford OR released an updated winter storm warning in effect until 4 p.m. The warning is for Western Siskiyou County, South Central Siskiyou County and North Central and Southeast Siskiyou County.
Rough and rugged to start the week with strong, and damaging winds, followed by a prolonged period of lake effect snow. 1 to 2 feet of snow is possible in the most persistent lake snow bands.
