Belgian rider Tim Merlier won the seventh stage of the Tour de France in a sprint finish on Friday, while race favorite Tadej Pogacar kept the leader's yellow jersey.

Stage 6 of the Tour de France went perfectly for Tadej Pogačar, who dropped everyone on the Col du Tourmalet and took the yellow jersey by a margin unthinkable in the first week.

Seixas finished 2:57 down on Pogačar on stage 6 but raced with maturity beyond his 19 years.
