The rising river levels will urge Lake Erie steelhead trout to make spawning runs in the Northeast Ohio rivers and streams.

Walleye reproduction slipped a bit around Lake Erie in 2025, but the Ohio daily bag limit is expected to remain at six walleye per day.

The rules are effective March 1, 2026 through Feb. 28, 2027.
