Colorado has a few thousand mountain lions, but a mountain lion attack on a human is rare, and a fatality – like the woman who died in a suspected attack Thursday in Larimer County – is even rarer.

DENVER (KDVR) – A woman is dead after a suspected mountain lion attack in Colorado’s Larimer County on Thursday afternoon. Authorities have since euthanized two mountain lions found in the area.
