After displaying yet another quick work inside the Octagon, this time at UFC 311 against Renato Moicano, the undisputed Lightweight champion Islam Makhachev is expected to return to the ring soon and a fight announcement is seemingly imminent.

Topuria (16-0 MMA, 8-0 UFC) vacated his featherweight title for a move up to 155 pounds. Makhachev previously stated that a fight with “another featherweight” in Topuria doesn’t interest him, and his manager Rizvan Magomedov wants to see “El Matador” in a title eliminator.

Jon Anik vouches for Justin Gaethje getting the next UFC lightweight title shot. Gaethje (25-5 MMA, 8-5 UFC) returned to the win column when he defeated Rafael Fiziev by unanimous decision in Saturday's UFC 303 co-main event.
