Heavy rain triggered flooding across parts of Middle Tennessee overnight on July 21, prompting the National Weather Service to issue flash flood warnings and severe thunderstorm warnings for multiple areas across the region.
On Wednesday at 8:43 p.m. the NWS Raleigh NC released a flash flood warning in effect until Thursday at 2:45 a.m. The warning is for Davidson, Forsyth, Guilford and Randolph counties.
What to Know Severe thunderstorms are forecast today. In the morning, storms will be more isolated. From midday through evening, they’re expected to be more potent and damaging. The greatest threats are damaging straight-line wind (gusts 58+ mph) and isolated flash flooding.
