Manchester United will be without captain Bruno Fernandes for their Premier League clash with Wolves on Tuesday, despite the midfielder's request to resume training just a week after sustaining a hamstring injury.

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim says it is "impossible" to replace Bruno Fernandes as he faces up to a month without him.

That will give manager Ruben Amorim a headache in the immediate short-term given his likeliest replacement, Kobbie Mainoo, will also miss Man Utd’s Boxing Day clash with Newcastle through injury.
