Discount grocery chain Aldi plans to wrap up 2025 by opening four additional stores in Florida, continuing its mass U.S. expansion this year.

Budget-friendly grocery chain Aldi opened a newly converted Winn-Dixie supermarket Dec. 4 at 2900 Lakeland Highlands Road in Lakeland as part of a record setting year for store openings. The new location was a former Winn Dixie supermarket and is now the fourth Aldi in Lakeland. The last store to open was also a Winn Dixie conversion.

The discount grocer's newest location is where Winn-Dixie used to be at 4025 S. Nova Road in Port Orange. The grand opening is set for Jan. 8, 2026.
