A woman, who may have been driving while intoxicated, and another driver are dead after a wrong-way crash on the US-59 Eastex Freeway near George Bush Intercontinental Airport on Thursday morning.

A woman died after jumping out of a truck on the Eastex Freeway on Tuesday morning, according to Houston police. It happened just before 3 a.m. in the northbound lanes of US-59 near Tidwell Road.

HOUSTON — UPDATE: The exit ramp has since reopened. The exit ramp from the Eastex Freeway heading south to the 610 North Loop is closed due to a major crash involving a big rig Tuesday morning.
