The University of Wyoming women’s volleyball team will forfeit its second match against San Jose State this season, the school announced Friday.

The forfeit announced on Friday marks the second time this season that Wyoming has canceled a match against San Jose State, as well as the seventh time overall that the Spartans have had a match canceled because of forfeits.

The University of Wyoming women’s volleyball team forfeited its Oct. 5 match to San Jose State for having a transgender player on the roster after pressure from people outside the program, according to documents obtained by the Chronicle on Friday night.
