The US Department of Health and Human Services said it is re-establishing the Task Force on Safer Childhood Vaccines, a panel of US health officials tasked with making recommendations on vaccine development,

The Task Force on Safer Childhood Vaccines will, in part, work on making recommendations on the development and "refinement" of childhood vaccines that "result in fewer and less serious adverse reactions" than those currently on the market, according to an HHS press release.

Anti-vaccine activists funded a May lawsuit to reconvene the defunct Task Force on Safer Childhood Vaccines and scrutinize the childhood immunization schedule.
