Ricky Lamar Hawk, who saw viral fame as rapper Silentó with 'Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)', is sentenced to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter.

Silentó, known for his hit song “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae),” pleaded guilty but mentally ill to voluntary manslaughter and other charges in the 2021 shooting death of his cousin.

The songwriter, whose real name is Ricky Hawk, pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and three other charges in relation to the killing.
