According to National Weather Service meteorologist Nick Guzzil, there is a 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms July 9, rising to 80% on July 10. While there is more uncertainty heading into the weekend, forecasts show a 40% chance of rain through July 12.
Residents across parts of Northern Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania are advised to prepare for potential flooding as the National Weather Service (NWS) in Mount Holly, New Jersey, has issued a Flood Watch effective from 2 p.m. Tuesday until 2 a.m. Wednesday.
The warning, which is for east central Berks County and northwestern Montgomery County, is in effect until 5:15 p.m. today.
