A major winter storm will hit Massachusetts with intense, heavy snowfall starting on Sunday morning that could bring up to 20 inches to Boston and other parts of the state. Meteorologists say it could be the biggest storm to hit the state in four years.
Boston has seen 10.5 inches of snow as of 7 p.m. on Sunday night and Fitchburg was at 11.1 inches as of 6:30 p.m., according to the National Weather Services. Parts of eastern Massachusetts and the Berkshires are expected to get 24 inches of snow before the system wraps up.
