Blumhouse has bought the rights to the 'Saw' franchise, and James Wan, director of first film, will oversee future of Jigsaw.

Jason Blum's banner has completed drawn out negotiations to bring the iconic horror franchise back to James Wan, with Lionsgate remaining an owner and distributor of the property.

Horror studio Blumhouse has acquired the rights to the "Saw" franchise that are currently held by producers Oren Koules and Mark Burg. Lionsgate continues to own 50% of the franchise.
