A graduation ceremony was held Tuesday night at Maloney High school in Meriden. One of the students was not able to participate after being detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.

Meriden high school senior detained by ICE not allowed to walk at graduation

On June 6, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detained the senior student. City officials said ICE did not contact the district or any Meriden Public School official. After the student was taken, it was determined he would not be allowed to walk at graduation.
