Louisiana Tech accepts invitation to Sun Belt, replacing Texas State after departure to Pac-12
Louisiana Tech is set to join the Sun Belt Conference no later than July 1, 2026, the Sun Belt announced. The Sun Belt's CEOs voted to extend an invitation to Louisiana Tech, which Louisiana Tech accepted, on Monday, CBS Sports' Brandon Marcello reports.
Louisiana Tech officially set to join ODU in Sun Belt Conference
In addition to Louisiana Tech and ODU, a Sun Belt member since leaving C-USA in 2021, the conference consists of Appalachian State, Arkansas State, Coastal Carolina, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, James Madison, Louisiana, Louisiana Monroe, Marshall, South Alabama, Southern Miss and Troy.
Louisiana Tech is replacing Texas State as the 14th member of the Sun Belt Conference after a unanimous vote on Tuesday.
