When seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton suffered damage to his car during the Canadian Grand Prix on Sunday, the cause wasn’t initially clear.

Lewis Hamilton had a disappointing outing in Montreal, finishing outside the podium at the Canadian Grand Prix. He also was left devastated after an incident.

Hamilton, who was running well inside the top five, suffered a mysterious loss of pace after Lap 13. Sky Sports F1’s Karun Chandhok later revealed that Hamilton had been carrying car damage from that moment on, specifically, a 20-point loss of downforce.
